Hi, I’m Soheila Amin

After years of using art as a way to process life, I’ve found healing—and now I create from a place of hope. What once held heaviness has transformed into something that invites light, reflection, and renewal.

I’m deeply inspired by the wild beauty of the North Coast—where forests, ocean, and open space meet. Having grown up in a city filled with constant development, where natural spaces were often replaced with buildings, I felt a growing pull toward something quieter, more grounded. That pull eventually led me to Humboldt, where I found a home surrounded by nature—and a deeper connection to what truly matters.

I’ve always believed that animals are something truly precious—beautiful, intentional creations that deserve care and protection. That belief has grown into a deeper purpose within my work: to highlight not only the animals themselves, but the habitats they depend on. Through my art, I hope to bring awareness to the beauty and fragility of the natural world, and to contribute, in some small way, to its preservation.

Part of that mission is lived out tangibly—25% of my wildlife artwork, including both originals and prints, goes toward conservation efforts that protect animals and the environments they call home.

My journey with art is also deeply personal.

I’ve walked through seasons of unhealthy habits, mental struggles, and loss—including the passing of my sister in 2016, who was incredibly creative and faced her own battles with mental health. Her life continues to shape the way I see the world, and I carry her with me in both my art and my purpose.

What once felt like survival has become transformation.

Art has always been a place where I could process, reflect, and eventually begin to heal. Over time, that process led me back to faith, to freedom, and to a more intentional way of living—one where I care for my mind, body, and spirit, and choose hope daily.

Today, my work is rooted in that rhythm.

Through layered mixed media, I’ve found a flow that brings both structure and freedom—and I now guide others through art journaling and creative practice to experience that same sense of release, clarity, and renewal.

Through my art and teaching, my hope is to offer you a space to slow down, reconnect, and create with intention.

A space to breathe.

To reflect.

To rediscover freedom.

And to find beauty, meaning, and hope—both in the world around you and within yourself.
