Moving between forest and open land, the gray fox carries a steady awareness. There is nothing rushed in its presence. It exists in rhythm with the environment around it, blending rather than interrupting, aware rather than reactive.

In this piece, the fox feels less placed within a landscape and more like it’s emerging from it—held within atmosphere, yet grounded in form.

Gray foxes are one of the only foxes that can climb trees, using their strong, hooked claws to move easily between ground and branches—an adaptation that reflects both their resilience and their quiet intelligence.
